About
River North Community Foundation is a registered not-for-profit Community Charity led by local residents, for the benefit of local residents. We are currently set up as a Named Fund within Australian Communities Foundation.
Governed by an Executive Director and Board of Directors, we work to strengthen the social fabric of our region by connecting people, organisations, and resources around shared community priorities.
We empower for-purpose organisations, grow local changemakers, and enable collective giving and volunteering—helping community-led solutions take root and thrive.
Through collaboration and community weaving, we support local responses to local challenges, foster belonging and participation, and help build a more connected, resilient, and thriving future for our region.
Our initial activities
Community Foundation's aren't just about granting money out, our mission is about mobilising the community and inspiring enduring philanthropy to support a strong, resilient, and vibrant City of Moreton Bay and Brisbane North, now and into the future.

We connect neighbours, community leaders and local groups to turn compassion into everyday action.
📣 Make it easy for people to get involved
We share simple, local ways to participate — like coffee clubs, walking groups, volunteering, or helping a neighbour.

We help people lead and join activities in their own streets, suburbs and postcodes.

We celebrate what’s working and the people making a difference across River North.

We connect, learn and collaborate to strengthen what already exists in the community.
