About

River North Community Foundation is a registered not-for-profit DGR-1 Community Charity led by local residents, for the benefit of local residents.

Governed by an Executive Director and Board of Directors, we work to strengthen the social fabric of our region by connecting people, organisations, and resources around shared community priorities.

Through collaboration and community weaving, we support local responses to local challenges, foster belonging and participation, and help build a more connected, resilient, and thriving future for our region.

for the people and places we love

Throughout 2026, we’ve been listening, learning and connecting across the region to better understand how River North Community Foundation can support community.

The Kindness Cycle reflects how we work and rather than fixed stages, we move flexibly through the cycle as needs and opportunities emerge.

This is the initial thinking on the role we can play across the region (outlined below), shaped through community conversations and open to ongoing ideas, feedback and collaboration.
